DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSIS OF SEIZURES IN CHILDREN

Abstract

Seizures in children represent a critical clinical symptom rather than a single disease entity. They may arise from a wide spectrum of etiologies ranging from benign self-limited conditions to life-threatening neurological, infectious, or metabolic disorders. Accurate and rapid differentiation is essential to guide emergency management, avoid unnecessary long-term antiepileptic therapy, and identify treatable underlying causes.
