ANALYSIS OF EMERGENCY SITUATION LEXICON

Abstract

This scientific article presents a comprehensive analysis of the lexicon used in emergency situations. The study examines the linguistic, structural, and functional characteristics of terms and phrases employed by emergency services, international humanitarian organizations, and national disaster management systems. The research is based on a corpus of over 1,500 lexical units extracted from regulatory documents, operational manuals, and international standards (ISO, CEN, UN OCHA). Using methods of lexicographic analysis, semantic field theory, and comparative terminology, the article identifies key patterns, inconsistencies, and gaps in the current emergency lexicon. The findings reveal significant terminological variation across jurisdictions, leading to interoperability challenges. The article concludes with proposals for harmonizing emergency terminology at both national and international levels.
