Abstract

This article emphasizes the importance of providing students with a broader understanding of the concept of professional competence in higher education, along with compulsory disciplines at the Faculty of Natural Sciences. The importance of teaching English in accordance with professional competencies in the organization of the training system for natural science faculties is emphasized. It also explains the concepts of competence and professional competence.
