COMPETITIONS OF APPLIED PROJECTS CONDUCTED IN UZBEKISTAN
Abstract
This article analyzes the system and key characteristics of competitions of applied projects conducted in Uzbekistan. In recent years, such competitions have become an important tool for stimulating innovation, supporting entrepreneurship, and fostering scientific and technological development. The study examines the role of government institutions, international organizations, and private sector entities in organizing project-based competitions. Particular attention is given to the main directions of these competitions, including information technologies, social innovation, agriculture, green economy, and industrial development. The article also highlights the mechanisms of selection, evaluation criteria, and funding opportunities provided to participants. Furthermore, the research identifies existing challenges such as limited awareness, unequal access to resources, and regional disparities. The findings emphasize the importance of improving institutional support, expanding participation, and integrating international best practices to enhance the effectiveness of applied project competitions in Uzbekistan.
