EDUCATIONAL FACTORS IN SHAPING STUDENTS’ ECOLOGICAL CULTURE THROUGH A HERMENEUTIC APPROACH IN 4TH-GRADE MUSIC LESSONS

Abstract

This article provides a scientific and pedagogical analysis of the educational factors involved in shaping students’ ecological culture through a hermeneutic approach in 4th-grade music lessons. The study takes into account the age-related and psychological characteristics of primary school students and highlights the possibilities of developing ecological awareness through meaningful comprehension, interpretation, and personal contextualization of musical works. The hermeneutic approach is substantiated as an effective pedagogical tool for activating students’ aesthetic emotions and fostering a caring and responsible attitude toward nature in music lessons. The article reveals the educational potential of music and identifies factors that contribute to the development of ecological culture through engagement with environmentally themed musical works. The research findings are significant for developing practical recommendations aimed at improving ecological education within the framework of primary music education.
