Abstract

This article provides a scholarly analysis of the Kalon Minaret as an outstanding example of Central Asian Islamic architecture. The historical formation of the structure, its architectural and compositional design, as well as its constructive solutions are examined. The role of the minaret within the urban planning system, its religious and symbolic functions, and the artistic methods used in its decorative elements are analyzed. The article highlights the importance of the Kalon Minaret in shaping the historical image of the city of Bukhara, its role in socio-cultural life, and its value as an architectural heritage monument. The research findings contribute to a deeper understanding of the development of medieval architecture.
